Punk'n Geezer consists of 'Geezer' Walt Rowland, playing guitar, and 'Punk' Greg Rowland, playing 5-string Acoustic Bass.  Both sing.

In the Alaskan tradition, Walt interviewed and auditioned over 500 Bass players* before he concluded that the most qualified candidate was his son, Greg.  

This technique, called 'Interview Many, Then Pick Your Kid', was pioneered by Alaskan Governor Frank Murkowski, and used to pick a US Senator...

For those of you not in Alaska...  Yes, its really true...

Sting, John Entwistle, and Paul McCartney) were interviewed by listening to their recordings.  They were not even aware they were under consideration.  There were lots of great candidates, but only room for one, and Walt did not want any feelings hurt.  You know how sensitive Rock Stars can be...
